Join us Saturday, February 15, 2020 for an Info Event & Social from 1:30-4:30 PM at Walnut Grove Community Centre (8889 Walnut Grove Drive Langley, BC).

There will be board games and puzzles, and activities for children. The pool will be open (regular admission rates apply).

How wonderful would it feel to come home from work and have dinner already cooked?

Cohousing often offers community meals that share the workload.

How incredible would it feel to have time to be adults with other adults while your children are playing with other children at a nearby play area?

As a co-designer, families plan and choose the ideal layout that makes sense for everyone.

How consciously responsible would it feel to lessen your carbon footprint by walking more and driving less?

Cohousing naturally attracts conscious minded people who truly care for our Earth.

Session and Social Gathering

Meeting Notices

When: Saturday, February 15, 2020           1:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Where:
Walnut Grove Community Centre
8889 Walnut Grove Drive, Langley
Multi-Purpose Room 1

You are invited to join us for an information session and social. You may be curious about cohousing and wonder why so many other newcomers to the concept are “curiouser”.

Cohousers know and care about our neighbours.  Families own private residences but enjoy the casual interaction we have with others as we go about our daily lives. Unlike management using Strata Council, cohousing offers ongoing opportunities to participate in social and governance matters affecting the community. We contribute in areas best suited to our interests or expertise.

We choose to live in a diverse community and to embrace the promise of such an enriched life-experience.  We learn from others and accept our differences, but above all, we celebrate our sameness.

We plan to build a community of about 35 households in the Township. We are excited to announce that we have secured property.  It’s a wonderful location.  Close to bus routes, Costco, London Drug, schools, and other amenities.

You are invited to explore whether you would be interested in becoming part of this “Village within the City.”  Please come and learn about how to become a partner in the building process and an owner in the finished product.

At this session, we will explain about cohousing, in general, and our Compass Cohousing project in particular.

Enjoy soup and sandwiches and a chance to meet and talk informally to existing members. Children are welcome. (The swimming pool will be open – regular admission prices apply.)
