Born and raised in Langley (South Otter) with 7 siblings.
Loriane has one year of college and has taken a number of university courses as well. She joined a number of different home sales groups while her children were young and then went to work in a library for 9 years. After that she worked in a Mail Centre and after that, for 15 years she was the faculty assistant to the Religious Studies department at Trinity Western University. She retired 3 years ago and is now volunteering at A Rocha which is a non-profit environmental organization on the corner of 16th Avenue and 192nd Street. She mans a small gift shop/welcome centre there. She has taken Toastmasters so she is fairly comfortable speaking in front of groups.
Her interests are in gardening (she ran a community garden for 9 years), crafting (cards, knitting, etc.), reading (she thinks a book club would be wonderful), etc. She does not like taking minutes although she is currently the secretary for the TWU retirees group. She also is not a great cook. She belongs to the local TOPS club where they talk about eating healthy and keeping our weight down and she belongs to the Langley Garden Club. Grant and Loriane have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
